Tour Introduction

Wanlong Ski Resort is located at the Honghualiang (2110.3m) in ChongLiCounty, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. It is 249km away from Beijing. Wanlong Ski Resort has 14 trails in total, including beginner, intermediate and advanced trails. The advanced jinlong (gold dragon) slope is 1900 meters long, yinlong (silver dragon) slope is 2050 meters long, intermediate yulong (jade dragon) slope is 2500 meters long, feilong slope is 1,300 meters long and wolong slope is 540 meters long. There are 2 double-seated lift with a unit time capacity of 1950 / hour, 2 four- seated lift with a speed of 2.25 m / s and time capacity of 3100 units / hour, and a specialized Magic Carpet for the beginner skiers which avoid skiers from frightening of to cable car in their initial skiing! The artificial snow producing system is equipped with each trail and the abundant natural snowfall make Wanlong ski Resort the first ski course to be opened to skiers near Beijing. It is a ski course with the longest snow period and the best snow quality.

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing, Meet & Greet at Airport, Transfer to Hotel

Our GCT representative will meet you at the airport and assists you to your hotel. Relax during the remainder of the afternoon and evening to recover from the jet lag.

Day 2: Beijing, Tian'anmen Square, Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven

Meals Included: Breakfast & lunch

Optional Tour: Acrobatic show performance with Chinese dinner

 

We will start to explore Beijing from the Tian’anmen Square which is the largest city square in the world, bordered by the Great Hall of the People and Chairman Mao’s Mausoleum, then tour the Forbidden City, the complex of imperial palace, which was home to the Emperors for over 500 years. Grand halls and courts gradually give way to more intimate domestic quarters, giving an insight into the pampered isolation of the emperors. After lunch we will visit the Temple of Heaven where Chinese emperors pray for good harvest in the ancient times.

Day 3: Beijing, Summer Palace, Hutong Tour on Richshaw

We will visit the Summer Palace in the morning. The Summer Palace, first built in 1750, largely destroyed in the war of 1860 and restored on its original foundations in 1886, is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value. We will do shopping at the local fresh water pearl shop. In the afternoon we will ride the rickshaws to experience the traditional Chinese life in the old Hutong Areas of Beijing.

Day 4: Beijing, Great Wall of China, Drive to Wanglong Ski Resort

Today is the highlight of our China tour, the climbing of the Great Wall of China. In 220 B.C., under Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China, sections of earlier fortifications were joined together to form a united defense system against invasions from the north. Construction of the great wall continued up to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644), when the Great Wall became the world's largest military structure. Its historic and strategic importance is matched only by its architectural significance. After lunch we will drive for about 2 hours to Wanglong Ski Resort.

Day 5: Whole Day Ski at Wanlong Ski Resort

Day 6: Whole Day Ski at Wanlong Ski Resort 

Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 8: Half Day Ski at Wanlong Ski Rosort, Drive Back to Beijing

We will enjoy the last day ski at Wanlong Ski Resort. Drive back back to Beijing in the afternoon. Free at leisure during the rest of the day.

Day 9: Departure from Bejiing

Meals Included: Breakfast

 

After breakfast, we will be transferred to the airport for our homeward flight. However, should you wish to stay on rather than return home right away, we would suggest you choose our other Tour Packages as an extension to your China adventure!

Important Notice

Ski resorts in China have entrance fee which is around CNY20 (USD3) per person. They will charge you this amount of money no matter you ski or not at the entrance. Besides entrance fee, you also need to purchase ski tickets which is based on hours. Please purchase insurance when you buy ski tickets.
