Day 1: Arrival in Xian, Meet & Greet at Airport, Transfer to Hotel

Day 2: Xian, Terra Cotta Warriors, Big Wild Goose Pagoda

After breakfast at hotel we will drive for about 45 minutes to the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Terra Cotta Warriors & Horses. This is one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in the world with three exhibition halls, the largest of which is 180 meters by 60 meters, housing the continuing excavation of an army of 8,000 terra-cotta soldiers and horses that guard the tomb of Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of the unified China. It is a stunning exhibition of ancient artifacts that is well laid out and easy to view. Back to the city in the afternoon, we will visit the Tang Dynasty constructed Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is located inside a Buddhist temple. The Pagoda was built in 652 by the Tang Dynasty Monk Xuanzhuang who went to India looking for the truth of Buddhism and as a result he brought back over 600 volumes of Buddhist scriptures from India and this pagoda was hence constructed to store those scriptures.
Day 3: Xian, Bell & Drum Tower Square, Great Mosque, Muslim Bazaar, Bullet Train to Luoyang,

We will visit the Bell & Drum Tower Square in the morning. The Bell Tower of Xi'an, built in 1384 during the early Ming Dynasty, is the symbol of Xi'an and one of the grandest of its kind in China. The Drum Tower got its name from the huge drum located within the building. In contrast to the Bell Tower, where bell was stricken at dawn, drum was beat at sunset to indicate the end of the day. From the Bell & Drum Tower Square, we will walk to the Great Mosque. Xian Great Mosque was built in 742 in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and underwent several reconstructions in the following dynasties. The existing buildings of Xian Great Mosque were mainly built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and expanded in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Xian Great Mosque is one of the earliest mosques built in China. The Muslim Bazaar outside the Great Mosque is a great place testing your bargaining skills where you can find almost anything you can think of. After lunch we will take the bullet train to Luoyang which has been the ancient Chinese capital city for nine dynasties lasting for 900 years.
Day 4: Luoyang, Shaoling Temple, Chinese Kungfu Show, White Horse Temple

Optional Tour: the Shaolin Zen Music Ritual Show at Songshan Mountain
After breakfast we will drive to the world famous Chan Buddhist Temple of Shaolin. Shaolin Kungfu's fame came out of the fame of the Temple. In the early history of the Temple, Monks practiced moving Qigong and other vigorous exercise to balance Yin and Yang energies in need. These early forms of exercises included Luohan 18 Postures, Soft Boxing, 8 Silk Brocades, and Longevity Boxing which later became today's Kungfu not only for self-defense, but also for the battlefields. Upon arrival we will visit the Shaolin Temple and enjoy a fantastic Kungfu Show by monks of Shaolin. Back to Luoyang, we will visit the first Buddhist Temple in China, the White Horse Temple built in AD67.
Day 5: Luoyang, Longmen Grottoes, Bullet Train to Xian

After breakfast at hotel, we will visit the world heritage site of Longmen Grotto. Dating back some 1,500 years, the Longmen Grotto is situated approximately 13 kilometers south of ancient Luoyang city and boasts 2,100 grottoes and niches, over 40 crematory urns, 3,600 inscribed stone tablets and more than 100,000 Buddhist images and statues. We will take a bullet train to the starting point of the world famous Silk Road, Xian.
Day 6: Departure from Xian

Free at leisure before departure in Xian. Transfer to the airport based on your departure flight. However, should you wish to stay on rather than return home right away, we would suggest you choose our other Tour Packages as an extension to your China adventure!

Day 4: The Shaolin Zen Music Ritual Show at Songshan Mountain: USD50 per person

In this melody, the music of zen from the valley of Song Mountain is combined with various kinds of sound from the nature, such as the sound of water, wind, forest and insects, and all these kinds of sound form a fabulous harmony of zen.
